What does 4K mean?
A 4K television set contains 4K resolution. That is, 3,840 horizontal pixels and 2,160 vertical pixels, making a total of 8.3 million pixels. According to the product specifications, the resolutions are written as follows: “3,840 × 2,160” on 4K TVs. The image you see on the screen is the collection of tiny dots that are called “pixels”. If the number of pixels increases, the resolution increases as well. In the word 4k, the “k” stands for kilo or 1000. So a 4k television has a horizontal resolution of about 4,000 pixels.
What is the quality level?
While conventional full HD TVs have 1920 x 1080 pixels. 4K TVs have four times as many pixels as full HD sets. This difference is especially noticeable for large screen sets. Even though the screens are the same size, the picture quality of 4K TVs is superior to that of others. At first, the availability of 4k content within the TV set was limited. This is what caused some customers to be hesitant to buy these TVs.
